| Charles V. Carpenter served in Company M, New Jersey Volunteers during the Civil War. He was married to Rachel Smith. Carpenter died on January 29, 1913 at the age of 69 and is buried in Union Cemetery, Hackettstown, NJ with his wife and family. |
